Cops for Kids

Cops for Kids Tallahassee, Inc. provides bicycles and helmets for needy children in the Big Bend (Tallahassee) area of Florida. Their goal is to provide 500 or more new bicycles and helmets for children to be delivered on Christmas.

Concerns of Police Survivors

Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty as determined by Federal criteria. Furthermore, COPS provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.


The FHPCOA has a "Partner In Law Enforcement" membership with COPS and assists them with programs and events to help Police Survivors.

 

Tour de Force

Tour de Force Bicycle Ride

The Tour de Force is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1997 with a remembrance ride to raise money on behalf of the Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Robert Smith, who was killed in the line of duty by a drunk driver. The Tour has grown in size each year and has raised over $87,000.00 for families of fallen officers and law enforcement related organizations.

 

The FHPCOA sponsors members who participate in this event annually.

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial

The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is to generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers; and to provide information that will help promote law enforcement safety.

 

The FHPCOA contributes annually to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and sponsors members to attend the Annual Candlelight Vigil held during National Police Week at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
